Ethics and Competency

"To promote and preserve the public trust inherent in professional appraisal practice, an appraiser must observe the highest standards of professional ethics" (from Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice - USPAP).

The Ethics rule contains four sections: Conduct, Management, Confidentiality, and Record Keeping. These standards are set to ensure the appraiser provides honest, impartial, and professionally competent appraisal reports. These standards are held in high regard by Trotta Appraisal & Consulting, LLC and are conveyed on all assignments engaged. Therefore no assignments will be completed based on a predetermined value or any other unethical guidelines.

Beyond this, the Competency rule ensures that all assignments accepted by Trotta Appraisal & Consulting, LLC are in accordance with our knowledge and experience to complete the assignment competently, or alternatives will be discussed.
